I love the little line drawings for each chapter.

ハリー・ポッターと賢者の石 is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, no funny translations here. The first chapter is 生き残った男の子 which is pronounced “Ikinokotta otoko-no-ko” The second part is easy, 男の子 is “otoko no ko” is a male child, with otoko meaning male and ko meaning child. 生き残った is “ikinokotta” which is the past tense for ikiru or “to live” Hence the English translation coming out “The Boy Who Survived”

*I use to study Japanese, did so-so, but I remember some things
